Casual clothes are fine for sightseeing in Tokyo, but for business, because so much rests on appearance in Japan, one can never look too good. Warm clothing is advisable for winters in Tokyo. Although the temperature doesnt fall much below zero, the wind chill factor can be quite high. Wet weather gear and boots would be adviseable during the winter as it occasionally snows in Tokyo.
